Den Grammy-nominerte supergitaristen, låtskriveren og produsenten Cory Wong kommer tilbake til Oslo!

Med seg har han Mark Lettieri, Henrik Linder, Ariel Posen, Kevin Gastonguay og Louis Cato som special guests på sin Fretboard Odyssey-turné. Cory Wong spilte for et smekk utsolgt Rockefeller i 2023, og det blir nok rift om billettene til denne konserten også.

The Fretboard Odyssey is a tour I’ve had in mind for a long time.

I’ve been lucky to explore a lot of different musical lanes over the years, with Vulfpeck, The Fearless Flyers, and my own projects…but I’ve always wanted to build something that puts the guitar front and center.

This tour is that.

Not in a “guitar shred fest” way, but more like…
what happens when you put a few players together who all see the instrument differently and create a space where we can explore that in real time. Create an environment where we can write, stretch, react, and see where the music goes.

I’ve been a huge fan of Mark Lettieri and Ariel Posen for years, and over time we’ve become close friends. What I love about playing with them is that we’re speaking a similar language but with totally different accents. There’s a lot of room to push, blend, and surprise each other.

On bass, Henrik Linder brings a combination of precision, power, and feel that’s just unreal. A lot of people know him as a shredder on the bass, but he’s got so much more depth that I have been fortunate to see in recording sessions. We first played together during my collaboration album with Dirty Loops, and this will be the first time we play on stage together!

Kevin Gastonguay and I have been playing together since our first day of college. From corner bar gigs to arenas, he’s been there for all of it. Having keys in this setting opens up the sonic palette in a big way, and Kevin is great at knowing exactly what a song needs and how to enhance it.

And then there’s Louis Cato…someone I met through The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He’s one of the most versatile musicians I’ve ever been around. Drums, bass, guitar, vocals…he does it all at such a high level, and he brings a kind of musical curiosity that makes anything feel possible. Having him on the tour will be great for exploring different setups and allow us to tap into different genres as well.

This isn’t just a guitar tour.
It’s a chance to explore, take chances, and have some fun with the instrument.
